On Saturday, 22 March 2025 (2081 Chaitra 9 BS), Safa Urja took part in the Earth Hour event organised by WWF, with a stall of sustainable products made from recovered waste. Our banner carried the message “Build the habit of separating waste at the source — a beautiful town is our only way forward.”
What we displayed
- An interlocking block made from sand, cement and recovered glass
- Drinking glasses cut from used glass bottles
- Recycled plastic granules (dana) and shredded plastic, showing how plastic is prepared for reuse
- Safa Mal and ObiFert organic fertiliser
- Decorative pieces made from waste materials
Students, families, officials and members of the security forces stopped by to see how everyday waste can become useful products, and to ask how they can separate waste at home. Thank you to WWF for organising the event, and to everyone who visited our stall.
