On Tuesday, 28 January 2025 (2081 Magh 15 BS), Safa Urja held a waste separation awareness programme at Ocean Academy, Khairahani-6, Parsa, Chitwan. The session took place during the school’s morning assembly, with students from across the school and their teachers.
What students learned
- Why separating waste matters for a clean school, a clean town and a healthy environment
- How to sort waste into separate baskets, shown with labelled bins for organic waste, glass and other dry waste
- What happens next: organic waste becomes organic fertiliser, and dry waste such as plastic and glass is recovered and recycled
- How students can practise separation at school and take the habit home to their families
Children are often the best messengers for a cleaner community. We thank the principal, teachers and students of Ocean Academy for welcoming us.
