How Organic Waste Becomes Safa Mal Fertiliser

August 28, 2026

Roughly half of what a Nepali household throws away is organic. Dumped, it rots and releases methane. Composted, it becomes food for soil.

The process

  1. Collection — segregated wet waste from homes, markets and hotels
  2. Screening — contaminants such as plastic are removed
  3. Active composting — microorganisms break material down; we manage air, moisture and temperature
  4. Curing — the compost matures and stabilises
  5. Screening and packing — finished as Safa Mal fertiliser
